Minister, Doctors Nova Scotia celebrating 10 years of Kids’ Run Club

Halifax, N.S. – Health and Wellness Minister Leo Glavine will join Doctors Nova Scotia's new President Dr. John Sullivan and CEO Nancy MacCready-Williams at an event to celebrate 10 years of the Kids’ Run Club.

Springvale Elementary will be awarded as one of 22 schools in Nova Scotia for having students participate in Kids’ Run Club (KRC) for 10 consecutive years.

CTV’s Cyril Lunney will emcee the event, which includes a few brief speeches, a gift presentation by Doctors Nova Scotia and the event will conclude with a short run in the neighbourhood.

This event is meant to bring together students, teachers, coaches, sponsors and Kids’ Run Club supporters in celebration of the school’s unwavering commitment to teaching students about the importance of leading a healthy and active life, while giving them an opportunity to be active.
