Happily Ever Active chosen as 2013 recipient

On July 1, a group of medical residents settled in to clinics and health centres throughout Nova Scotia to begin the next stage of their medical education in a new residency program.

Dartmouth, N.S. – Happily Ever Active has been chosen as the 2013 recipient of Doctors Nova Scotia's Strive Award.

Dartmouth, NS – Doctors Nova Scotia installed Fall River-based family physician Dr. Mike Fleming as its new President during the association’s annual conference on Saturday, June 8 at Digby Pines Golf Resort & Spa.

May 1 is Doctors’ Day in Nova Scotia. Doctors Nova Scotia is encouraging patients across the province to celebrate the day with us by sharing a positive story about your doctor through the “Your Doctors. Your Stories.” campaign.

Doctors Nova Scotia has selected three finalists for its 2013 community-based Strive Award. 

Chebucto Connections, Happily Ever Active, and Paradise Active Healthy Living Society (PAHLS) are bidding for the $10,000 grant.

It was love at first sight the moment Adam Dmytriw was exposed to the practice of interventional radiology. 

Doctors Nova Scotia is the 2012 recipient of the Ron Draper Health Promotion Award given by the Canadian Public Health Association.

Dr. Robert Strang, chief public health officer of Nova Scotia, nominated the association for the award in recognition of its Kids’ Run Club program. 

Dartmouth, N.S. - Friends of Ellenwood Park was honoured with the 2012 Doctors Nova Scotia Strive Award during the association’s annual conference on June 2, 2012.

Dartmouth, N.S. – Five exemplary physicians and one outstanding community group were honoured during Doctors Nova Scotia’s annual conference on June 2. 

Doctors Nova Scotia installed Halifax-based paediatric cardiologist Dr. John Finley as its new President during the association’s annual conference on Saturday, June 2 at Digby Pines.

Health and Wellness Minister Maureen MacDonald on May 9 released the physician resource plan (89 pgs.), which identifies several ways to improve planning and management of the province's physician workforce to better meet the needs of Nova Scotians.
