Longitudinal Family Medicine and Panel Attachment Algorithm

This session will focus on the me=care panel attachment algorithm which estimates workload associated with physician panel size and the implementation of the Longitudinal Family Medicine payment model.
Guest presenter: Kaitlin Miles, Program Manager for Accountability with Physician Services branch of the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness.
Kaitlin Miles holds a Bachelors of Industrial Engineering and Masters of Applied Sciences from Dalhousie University. Kaitlin has leveraged her formal training in operations research, resource allocation and data modelling throughout her ten years of experience in improving health care delivery. She currently serves as Program Manager for Accountability with the Physician Services branch of the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness, where she contributes to the design of physician payment modalities and manages a team that provides branch wide analytics. Kaitlin enjoys teaching and mentoring, recently holding the position of Sessional Instructor at Dalhousie where she taught a capstone course to final year students. Outside of work Kaitlin enjoys volunteering, most recently as Board Treasurer for the Rainbow Refugee Association of Nova Scotia. Kaitlin lives in Halifax and finds happiness in cycling and camping with her family.
