This community of practice provides a safe, confidential, and supportive forum for physicians who are new to practicing in Nova Scotia Health’s Northern Zone Through facilitated professional development sessions and opportunities to network, participants have the opportunity to, strengthen their sense of community, and gain insight on information and topics to their successful integration into the NSH system and practicing as physicians in NS.

Connections, Community & Conversations - Peer Connection, Mentorship, Wellness & Shared Learning

A facilitated learning and networking opportunity for physicians working in the Northern Zone, who are new to Nova Scotia. The goal is to foster connection, community, mentorship, and shared learning to underpin well-being in their personal and professional lives.  Program chairs, Dr. Sarah Traboulsy and Dr. Saman Salahi invite you to join them community building. Special guest speaker Dr. Emmanuel Adjuwon.

Learning Objectives

Participants will:

  • Build meaningful relationships and strengthen peer networks with colleagues across NS Health’s Northern Zone 
  • Explore strategies for fostering a sense of belonging, resilience, and wellness while navigating a new practice and community environment.
  • Engage in mentorship and shared learning opportunities to support professional growth, community integration, and ongoing success in Nova Scotia.
