Postgraduate Site Director, Halifax Site (0.4 FTE): Dalhousie University, Dept. of Family Medicine

The Department of Family Medicine, Dalhousie University, invites applicants for this leadership position in academic family medicine. This role will hold an academic appointment with the Faculty of Medicine, Dalhousie University.
The successful applicant will be engaged in a well-established community-based family practice as an academic clinician educator and an active member of the Department of Family Practice of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. This position involves clinical teaching supervision and active staff responsibilities of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
This role is one of several Postgraduate Site Director Roles in the Department of Family Medicine at Dalhousie University and represents an opportunity to participate in a dynamic department of over 600 community-based family physicians in 64 communities in the three Maritime Provinces.
The administrative duties will involve responsibility for family medicine postgraduate medical education and budgeting at the Halifax Site and will work in close liaison with the Undergraduate Site Portfolio and the Halifax site Family Medicine Cabinet.
Academic responsibilities include supervision of family medicine residents, while contributing to the academic development and administration of the university and hospital departments of Family Medicine. This position may also include involvement with major academic committees or initiatives through Dalhousie University Family Medicine or Postgraduate office.
This position may also have the opportunity to include clinical FTE at one of the Halifax site family medicine clinics.
