Hospitalists: Victoria, B.C.

The South Island Hospitalist group, along with Island Health, is looking for hospitalists to join our dynamic team inbeautiful Victoria.

Hospitalists in Victoria provide a 24-hour MRP service at the Victoria General and Royal Jubilee Hospitals. The medicineis interesting; there is a lot of variety, pathology, and we enjoy a high degree of autonomy while being well supportedby our specialist colleagues. Our care covers patients aged 17-100+, and includes addictions, palliative care, geriatricsand co-management of surgical and rehabilitation patients.

Island Health is affiliated with the UBC Faculty of Medicine. Hospitalists support undergraduate and resident teachingat both hospital sites. We have weekly CME rounds, and many opportunities for learning, growth and innovation. Aspart of our team you also have the option of working in one of our unique hospitalist-run programs including theInpatient MAID service, Hospital at Home and the Rapid Assessment and Discharge short-stay unit.

We are looking for enthusiastic, keen candidates with an interest in acute care who love working collaboratively as partof a team. We have a strong, tailored mentorship program to onboard our new members.

Relocation allowances may be available for full-time positions.

Desired qualifications include:

• CCFP or equivalent or FRCP (internal medicine)
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC)
• ACLS
• Current or recent hospital experience an asset but not required
